Corey James grew up in Newtown, Connecticut and the recent shootings at his old Sandy Hook elementary school have affected him profoundly and filled him with a sense of purpose.

 

He spent his teenage years in Lake Worth, Florida, and attended college at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, majoring in Fine Arts but also studying creative writing and mathematics. He hitchhiked around the country and showed up in Southern California with a hundred dollars and two suitcases.

 

He worked the next thirty years in prestigious art and animation positions with industry leaders like Steven Spielberg and Nora Ephron in cutting edge studios like DreamWorks SKG and Digital Domain on world class projects like The Lost World:Jurassic Park and Shrek.

Contributed to state-of-the-art pioneering of morphing techniques and transitions to create the most responsive, yet visually realistic real time playable characters of any computer game to date.
